Off to Wales.
What a maze these roads are. Peter was an excellent nav man today. The roads are a huge series of highways and round abouts. Liverpool on a whole was a mixture of old and new architecture, a dock area that had a family feel with ferris wheels and an open walking area.
Before leaving Liverpool it was important that we visit Anfield Stadium on behalf of our son in law Stephen who is a big fan. So off on a new adventure. The stadium is not too far out of town.
So Stephen this bit is for you:
Then off we went to Wales to a charming village of Betws-y-Coed. Our journey took us through some beautiful country side and beside the ocean. Out in the ocean looking very strange was a "farm" of wind turbines.
Our weather today was a pleasant 18 degrees with sun.
We had lunch before our 2 pm check into our home for the next two nights at the Waterloo Hotel. Barry and Wendy have a friend here who is ex-army and now runs the local Tree Service - with the amount of trees in this area he will not be out of work. So after a drive into the hills we arrive at his stone house. His three dogs were keen to meet new vistors and Frank the black lab was keen to do some ball retreving for me. We took a walk up the back of the property and shared the game with cows and sheep. That's Wendy in the picture, but look at that view. Beautiful. So a relaxed afternoon sharing stories and tea and back to the Waterloo for a shared dinner with Alan 'Ginger' Farrar.
Tomorrow looks to an exciting day as Ginger will be playing tour guide of this beautiful region.

| We were there !! |
We arrived at about 10 am and had a walk around. There was a huge merchandise store that opened at 10.30. We took lots of pictures and as luck would have it the store opened (early). Unbelievable - two levels of red and white (some orange) Liverpool stuff everywhere. If it can be stamped with the logo it was there - baby clothes, hats, shirts, mouse mats, beer coasters, pens etc etc. They had an abundance of staff helping (mind you there were not many people in the shop at the time). They even had all the check outs - 8 of them all manned. We may have or may not have made a small purchase.
Hope you enjoyed your little look at Anfield Stephen. Then off we went to Wales to a charming village of Betws-y-Coed. Our journey took us through some beautiful country side and beside the ocean. Out in the ocean looking very strange was a "farm" of wind turbines.
